Hybrid offices with hoteling desks can’t rely on individual trash cans at every workstation. Centralized waste stations handle the reality of shared spaces—coffee cups, lunch packaging, and daily debris—without making high-traffic areas look messy.
Integrate bins into locker islands, end caps, or zone dividers so disposal points are convenient but hidden. Employees toss waste on their way through the space instead of letting it pile up at shared desks. Separate compartments for trash and recycling make sorting simple.

Hamilton designed 20-30 custom countertop stations across two renovated floors, integrating employee lockers, collaboration space, and dual-access trash/recycling with stainless steel collars and elevated bases to keep shared office areas clean and functional.
Example Configurations
Standard Recycle Station
These standard stations are available in two-, three-, or four-bin options (shown above). Each cut-out on the top of the station represents the different content that’s able to be recycled, and these can be further defined with the help of vinyl labeling.
Mobile Recycle Station
Perfect for offices where the recycling needs to be out of sight for events or other reasons, this option shows the four-bin option on casters for mobility. Circle cut-outs on the top are outfitted with metal or plastic grommets to create a polished look.
Flap-Door Recycle Station
The four-option bin is shown here again, but instead of a top surface with cut-outs, we’ve designed the station with bi-directional door flaps for a cleaner look. Your guests won’t see the waste with the help of the doors, and optional vinyl graphics can give instructions as to what materials coordinate to which flap door.
