A locker system at the level of fine furniture demands materials that perform accordingly. Arraya is finished in FENIX® NTM — the ultra-matte, nano-tech surface specified for architectural interiors where appearance retention is non-negotiable.
Most locker finishes are painted steel or standard thermofoil — materials with predictable limitations. They chip, dent visibly, and develop a worn look within the first few years. FENIX® NTM is a fundamentally different category of material, developed for architectural interiors where surface integrity at ten years looks like surface integrity at ten days.
This is the material Gensler specified when they co-designed Arraya. It's not a cosmetic choice — it's a material logic choice about what a locker at furniture grade should feel like, perform like, and continue to look like over the life of a workplace.
FENIX's nano-tech matt surface absorbs light rather than reflecting it. The result is a depth and softness that reads as furniture, not storage equipment.
The FENIX surface does not accumulate fingerprints visibly. In a locker environment where dozens of users open and close doors daily, this is the difference between a finish that looks maintained and one that looks tired.
FENIX® NTM has a self-healing capacity for superficial surface scratches. Applying gentle heat causes micro-scratches to close at the molecular level — a property unique to FENIX among laminate materials.
FENIX® NTM is certified anti-bacterial under ISO 22196. In workplace locker environments — particularly those serving gyms, healthcare, or food service staff — this is a meaningful hygiene property painted steel does not offer.
FENIX resists common solvents, acetone, coffee, tea, lemon juice, and standard commercial cleaning products. It can be maintained with the same products used for kitchen countertops.
Curated with Gensler for workplace specification. The palette spans architectural neutrals through warm and cool accent tones — all sharing the same matte depth that distinguishes FENIX from conventional laminate. All 12 colors are available for both door and case specification.

Gensler's influence on the Arraya palette extends to the wood finishes. The Wilsonart selection was chosen to coordinate with contemporary workplace design — warm, authentic, and quiet enough to support rather than compete with the broader material story of a space.
Wilsonart woodgrain finishes are available for locker doors only — the locker case, base, and structural elements are specified in FENIX® NTM solid colors. Sample set includes both FENIX solid chips and Wilsonart laminate samples. Contact HAMILTON to request.
Arraya can be specified with FilzFelt wool felt acoustic panels on the locker case back panel — the exterior back wall of each unit. FilzFelt is a premium architectural wool felt used in high-end contract interiors — the same material specified for ceiling baffles, wall panels, and furniture acoustic treatments in award-winning workplace projects.
On an Arraya case unit, FilzFelt transforms the back panel into a soft, considered detail. The felt reads as color, texture, and warmth — reinforcing Arraya's positioning as furniture, not equipment.
FilzFelt is available in a curated set of colors coordinated with the Arraya FENIX palette. It is an optional specification — all Arraya lockers have a standard back panel finish as the default. FilzFelt does not affect locker function or certifications.

FENIX® NTM is a tactile material as much as a visual one. The difference between a painted steel finish and a FENIX surface is immediately apparent in person — and essentially impossible to convey on screen. Request a physical sample set for your project team.
Arraya finish specification follows a simple sequence. HAMILTON's project team supports each step.

HAMILTON's specification team provides palette recommendations based on your project's material board and design intent. Mix-and-match layouts are reviewed and confirmed.
Finishes are specified by FENIX NTM color name and Wilsonart laminate number in the Arraya specification sheet. HAMILTON provides a pre-written specification section on request.
HAMILTON submits finish selections for approval before fabrication. The submittal includes actual finish samples — not digital references — for final sign-off.
